A Valley Brook police officer resigned after he was arrested last month on complaints of domestic abuse. Jamie Sanchez, 33, was reportedly arguing with his girlfriend, whose name was not released, in their Oklahoma City home when she said she wanted to end their relationship, according to an Oklahoma City police report. "He became angry and became physical with her. She struggled to get away from him. He apparently, she alleged, put a handcuff on one of her hands and tried to get it on the other wrist,” police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. According to the report, Sanchez threatened to arrest his girlfriend for assaulting a police officer. She calmed him down, and they both left the apartment. The woman made a stop at a convenience store and was waiting with a friend for police officers. "While she was waiting there, the suspect pulled up, apparently in a police car. She pulled out of the parking lot out of fear. He turned on lights and sirens, sent her a text message threatening to take her to jail if she didn’t stop. She drove directly to a police station,” Knight said. Police interviewed them and found the woman had injuries consistent with her story, Knight said. Sanchez was arrested and taken to Oklahoma County jail on a domestic abuse complaint. Valley Brook police Capt. Michael Stamp said Sanchez resigned after the arrest. [LINK]

  1. Did this officer get to "retire" with full or partial benefits? Wow if what she claimed is true, that is a HUGE abuse of power.
