[NC] Officer Eldridge charged for kicking his (beloved?) wife's head, and it's not the first domestic incident

...[WILMINGTON POLICE OFFICER JAMES] ELDRIDGE WAS CHARGED WITH KICKING HIS WIFE IN THE HEAD AND GRABBING HER ARMS... THE REPORT ALSO SHOWS A GUN WAS INVOLVED... THERE IS A PRIOR HISTORY OF DOCUMENTED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLEGATIONS BETWEEN ELDRIDGE AND THE VICTIM...

In the video Director Of Open Gate Domestic Violence Shelter Renee Mcgill-Cox says of "typical" abusers and victims,
"People don't
realize that
these people
love
each other."

A man who kicks a woman in the head does NOT love her and it's deadly to reinforce that idea in a victim. How can Wilmington be ready to protect an officer's wife if that is their assessment of general domestic violence?

Wilmington Police Department is doing an in-house investigation.

This story has not been told in full details. This officer has been charged without a true victim. His wife is standing by him and has denied any wrong doing. False accusations were made to District Attorney vis personal vendetta.

This officer has an outstanding personnel record and is a loving father and mentor for many. Brunswick county sherrifs department should dimiss all charges and refrain from bullying there so called victim (Mr. Eldridge wife). This is a strong faith based family and God will correct this injustice.

  3. Please, you sound dumb making that comment. Evidence show that this "loving father and mentor" has been abusing his spouse for years. I'm not sure where you get your information from but I know first hand. I would stand by my man too if I was scared as hell of him, as she seems to be! Brunswick County sherif department was only doing their job so the comment made about them bullying the victim is also false. If anyone is a bully it is Mr Eldridge and I'm glad he lost his job over this because we don't need a monster like him calling himself a police officer! A real man would never ever put his hands on a woman, which is a proven fact that he did.

  4. You should really get a life. I'm sure you know nothing of the facts. How could you be glad a man lost his ability to provide for his family behind backwoods policing. Refrain from showing your ignorance in the future. There was so much more to this case that was not told. If ever you want to know the facts, go to the source directly

  5. Well said, in this economy noone should lose their jobs. Even police officers are human in nature. And can lose their tempers as well, but I know first hand that the prosecutors office would try to make an example out of an officer to prove a point to the public. That's so sad but true, believe me, I know. So know the facts before you judge this man. I hope that he's back on the force protecting you and I. God Bless!
