NYPD Officer Stella - "He was the most wonderful son anyone could ask for"

He had wanted to be a cop since he was a teenager, and two years ago, he realized that dream. So when Christopher Stella was found dead, apparently by his own hand, in the seat of his car early yesterday morning, friends and colleagues couldn't fathom why... His death sparked a wave of grief online, where friends posted messages of support for his family. "Everyone here at the 72 precinct would like to give our condolences to the Stella family," one poster, "7Deuce," wrote on silive.com. "We will always have our brother Christopher in our thoughts. He was truly a good cop and a great loss to all who had the pleasure working with him. God Bless you Christopher we will always love you and you will be missed by your brothers and sisters at the 72."... [Full article here]

..."He had a lot going for him, a lot of promise," recalled his older sister, Danielle Manzione. "He was an ambitious person who had such a bright future... He was extremely dedicated to the job... He was loved by everybody and will be very much missed by everyone he touched in his life," said Mrs. Manzione... "He was a wonderful grandson and words can't describe what he means to me," added his grandmother, Mildred Tynan. Mr. Stella loved spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Diana Lemaitre. "He was the most wonderful son anyone could ask for," said his mother, Maryellen. "He was a blessing in our life," added his father, Adam. The funeral will be Monday from the Hanley Funeral Home, New Dorp, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond... [Full article here]

Officer Stella is not in this blog for domestic violence. Suicide though is domestic, and violent. Blessings and God's strength to Officer Stella's people.
